If you found a new home or just need to start services at your current home, you're in the right place. Review our process and steps below, then complete the online form below to get started.

ATTENTION: Only assigned patrons with logistical support are authorized to use Aviano Home Fuels tax-relief services. Military ID card holder with orders to Aviano, DoD Civilians and contractors with a current logistical support authorization are authorized.

PROCESS: Please follow the steps below in order to start tax-free utility services with Home Fuels. We are not a utility provider. Understand, there may be situations which may prolong starting services as well as situations enabling us to start services faster than expected. The steps below are to give you a general idea of the process.

STEP 1: Complete the New Services Request Form below. Be sure the information is accurate, specifically your contact information and meter information. Visualize the location of your meters and verify the readings, don’t just take your landlord’s or realtor’s word on it.

STEP 2: After submitting the form, you will see a details page of your request. You will be able to upload meter photos to this page.

STEP 3: Check your email. After completing step one, an automated email will be sent to the email entered in the request form. This email provides you the details of your request and a link to back to the details page (Step 2). Be sure to check your spam or junk mail. If you didn’t receive the email after 1 hour, contact customer support at 632-5083, option 1 to verify if we have received your request.

STEP 4: Customer Service will review the information you provided and email you an Account Creation Form with your assigned account number. The account creation form is our Terms and Agreement document that must be signed and returned prior to initiating any services. Be sure to follow the instructions in the email and verify the information on the Account Creation Form. Be prepared to attach a copy of your PCS orders and Housing Contract when returning the signed Account Creation Form.

STEP 5: Once we receive the required documents to initiate services, we will submit the request to one of our preferred utility providers for acceptance. Once they accept our request the company will initiate the activation of your requested utilities.
  • Electricity: completed remotely and can take up to 5 business days from the time the company initiates the contract. Can take longer is the automated system cannot communicate with the meter
  • Gas Activation: can take up to 10 business days, requires an appointment and you must be present with access to the property. We will need to reschedule any missed appointments, starting the process over. We have no control over appointment dates and times.

STEP 6: Turning on your utilities.
  • If you requested electricity, you only need to flip the lever up at the meter once the activation has been completed. Again, the distribution company has 5 business days to complete the activation from the time the contract with the company was completed. If the lever stays up, the electricity is active. If the lever flips back down, it hasn’t been activated.
  • If you requested gas, we will notify you with your appointment date and time. You will need to be at your property at the scheduled time, waiting near your gas meter. If your gas meter is inside the property, wait nearest the entrance of the property so you can be seen by the technician when they arrive. Usually, the appointment timeframe is 1-2 hours. The technician may show at any time during this period. If you are not there, they will leave and consider you a no-show. The technician may enter the home to do a safety inspection prior to opening the gas.

STEP 7: You’re all set. Move in on your agreed move-in date. If you haven’t already verified your Starnik, be sure it is setup properly so you can pay your monthly utility bills online.
